At WCG, our mission is to assist individuals find effective pathways to a successful return to work and/or readiness for reintegration into the workforce. Our approach is underpinned by promoting a domain of diversity, equity and inclusivity for our clients, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and outcome driven practice.
As a trusted partner, WCG has been delivering vocational rehabilitation services on a national scale in collaboration with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) since 2009, supporting over 33,000 Canadian Armed Forces Veterans and their families. We are dedicated to supporting those that have served our country.
The program provides access to medical, psycho-social and vocational services that focus on empowering Veterans through a “Team around the Participant” approach to rehabilitation that builds on individual abilities, skills and strengths.
Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS) was established in 2022 as an innovative partnership between WCG International Consultants and Lifemark Health Group, created specifically to deliver the Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program in collaboration with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). This partnership leverages WCG's expertise as a known leader in the Canadian employment and vocational services industry and brings together experts in medical and psycho-social rehabilitation working alongside leading researchers to develop evidence based-informed practice. As part of the APM group, which delivers services to enable better lives across 11 countries, this has allowed a further pathway of bringing international best practice to the design of rehabilitation services in Canada through this collective expertise and experience.
The overall goal of the program is to address the barriers to re-establishment in life after service for ill and injured Veterans, their eligible spouse/common-law partner and survivors. Our multi-disciplinary team tailors each Rehabilitation Plan to address individual medical, psycho-social and vocational needs.
Our dedication to service design and delivery is grounded in our distinct purpose to enable Veterans to live better lives and is embedded throughout our compassionate, caring, data-driven and evidence-based approach.
We express our gratitude to all the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples on whose territories we live, learn, and work. We honour their connection to the land and respect the importance of the diverse teachings, traditions, and practices within these territories.
